Our Expo is the ONE for you to be, as a STARTER in Early February of 2012, begin with Hope informed by Science, Good Practices and Truthful Sharings.

Structure of Expo

The programme will be structured in the following ways:

  1. Keynote speakers (by invitation) (90 mins)
  2. Parallel Sessions (by application):
    1. Lesson Demonstration – Schools or Teachers may enroll to conduct on-site lesson demonstrations. The lesson is designed and delivered to illustrate how Brain-Based or Thinking-Based lesson looks like, sounds like and happens in authentic classroom context. The lesson should have a class size of 20 to 40 students  (75 mins)
    2. Individual or Group presentations/sharing – Cases presented to the audience describe or discuss approaches, theoretical observations, controversial topics, projects, applications and/or reflections on infusing Brain-Based or Thinking-Based Approaches.  (75 mins)
    3. Seminar - the papers presented to the audience are based on a comprehensive piece of completed research, using quantitative, qualitative or action research methodologies  (75 mins)
    4. Workshops where the participants engage in activities structured by the workshop leader(s)  (75 mins)
  3. Ticket-lunch session  (speakers by invitation) (75 mins)
  4. Poster presentations (by application) are based on completed/ongoing projects, research, applications or approaches and presented through a self-explanatory visual display designed to attract attention.   Posters should give a brief overview of the work and be designed to initiate discussion.  Guidance for producing posters (dimensions) will be circulated. 
  5. The forum provides an opportunity for participants to interact with question/answer exchanges and discussions on a given topic.    It can involve a single presenter or a panel of presenters who stimulate and guide the discussion.  Audience participation is a key feature  (30 mins)
